Michele Bachmann, born on April sixth, nineteen fifty-six, in Waterloo, Iowa, is a prominent American politician and lawyer. She spent her teenage years in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, where she began to cultivate her interest in politics. Bachmann earned her bachelor's degree from Winona State University, followed by a Juris Doctor from Oral Roberts University's O. W. Coburn School of Law, and a Master of Laws from William & Mary Law School.
Before embarking on her political career, Bachmann briefly worked in tax law for the Internal Revenue Service. However, she soon transitioned to being a stay-at-home mother, during which time she became actively involved in local politics, particularly focusing on education issues. Her formal entry into politics came in two thousand when she was elected to the Minnesota Senate.
In two thousand six, Bachmann made her mark on a national level by winning a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Minnesota's sixth congressional district. She served in this capacity until two thousand fifteen, during which she also made an unsuccessful bid for the presidency in the two thousand twelve election, withdrawing after the Iowa caucuses. Despite this setback, she was re-elected to the House in two thousand twelve but announced her retirement before the two thousand fourteen election.
Since January first, twenty twenty-one, Michele Bachmann has taken on the role of dean at the Robertson School of Government at Regent University, continuing her commitment to public service and education.
