Michelle O'Neill

She has made history as the First Minister of Northern Ireland since February twenty twenty-four, marking a significant milestone as the first Irish nationalist to hold this esteemed position. O'Neill has been a dedicated Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Mid Ulster since two thousand seven, showcasing her long-standing commitment to public service.

Her political journey began on the Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council, where she served from two thousand five to two thousand eleven. O'Neill's leadership skills were evident when she became the first female Mayor of Dungannon and South Tyrone from two thousand ten to two thousand eleven.
