Mick Mulvaney

He served as the director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) from two thousand seventeen to two thousand twenty and held the position of acting White House chief of staff from January two thousand nineteen until March two thousand twenty. Before his significant roles in the Trump administration, Mulvaney was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing South Carolina's fifth congressional district from two thousand eleven to two thousand seventeen.

A Republican by affiliation, Mulvaney's political journey began in the South Carolina General Assembly, where he served from two thousand seven to two thousand eleven, first in the House and then in the Senate.
