Mihály Lantos

Mihály Lantos, born on September twenty-ninth, nineteen twenty-eight, was a distinguished Hungarian football player and coach. Renowned for his defensive skills, he dedicated the majority of his playing career to MTK Hungária FC, where he became a pivotal figure in the team's success.

During the 1950s, Lantos was an integral part of the legendary Hungary national team, famously known as the Golden Team. This illustrious squad included football icons such as Nándor Hidegkuti, Ferenc Puskás, Zoltán Czibor, Sándor Kocsis, and József Bozsik, all of whom contributed to Hungary's remarkable achievements in international football.

After hanging up his boots, Lantos transitioned into coaching, where he continued to influence the sport. From nineteen sixty-five to nineteen sixty-seven, he served as an assistant coach to his former MTK manager, Márton Bukovi, at Olympiacos. Following this stint in Greece, he returned to Hungary, where he took the helm at several clubs, including Videoton FC, further solidifying his legacy in Hungarian football.
