Mike Bantom

Mike Bantom, born on December third, nineteen fifty-one, is a distinguished American former professional basketball player and a prominent figure in sports management. Standing at six feet nine inches, he played primarily as a power forward and center, showcasing his skills at Saint Joseph's University before making a significant mark on the basketball world.

His athletic journey reached a pinnacle when he represented the United States national basketball team at the nineteen seventy-two Summer Olympics, where he earned a silver medal in a highly debated final against the Soviet Union. Following this achievement, Bantom was selected as the eighth pick in the nineteen seventy-three NBA draft by the Phoenix Suns, launching a nine-year career in the NBA that spanned from nineteen seventy-three to nineteen eighty-two. Throughout his career, he played for several teams, including the Seattle SuperSonics, New York Nets, Indiana Pacers, and Philadelphia 76ers, accumulating a remarkable total of eight thousand five hundred sixty-eight points, four thousand five hundred seventeen rebounds, and one thousand six hundred twenty-three assists.
