Mike Keane, born on May 29, 1967, is a distinguished Canadian former professional ice hockey winger. His journey in the National Hockey League began in 1988, where he showcased his skills over the course of more than one thousand one hundred games until his retirement in 2004.
Despite being undrafted, Keane's tenacity and talent led him to a successful career, culminating in three Stanley Cup championships. He celebrated victories with the Montreal Canadiens in 1993, the Colorado Avalanche in 1996, and the Dallas Stars in 1999, solidifying his legacy in the sport.
After his NHL career, Keane returned to his roots, playing five seasons with the Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League before hanging up his skates in 2010. His passion for the game continued beyond his playing days.
On September 3, 2013, the Winnipeg Jets recognized Keane's expertise and hired him as an Assistant of Player Development, allowing him to mentor the next generation of hockey talent.
