Mike Kohn

Mike Kohn, born on May twenty-six, nineteen seventy-two, is a distinguished former bobsledder from the United States. His athletic journey began in 1990, leading him to compete in two Winter Olympics. Notably, he earned a bronze medal in the four-man event at the Salt Lake City Games in two thousand two, serving as a push athlete for pilot Brian Shimer.

In addition to his Olympic success, Kohn showcased his talent on the world stage, winning a silver medal in the mixed bobsleigh-skeleton team event at the 2007 FIBT World Championships held in St. Moritz. His competitive spirit and dedication to the sport were evident throughout his career.

After retiring from competition following the 2010 Winter Olympics, Kohn transitioned into coaching, being appointed as an assistant coach by the United States Bobsled and Skeleton Federation in 2011. His experience and insights have been invaluable to the next generation of bobsledders.

Beyond his athletic achievements, Kohn serves as an Infantry Captain in the United States Army. A native of Columbia, South Carolina, he now resides in Myrtle Beach with his wife, Jessica, and their two sons, Oliver and Max Kohn.
