Mikhail Youzhny

Mikhail Youzhny, born on June twenty-fifth, nineteen eighty-two, is a distinguished former professional tennis player from Russia. He made his mark on the ATP Tour, achieving a career-high ranking of world No. 8 in January two thousand eight and again in October two thousand ten. His journey in tennis is marked by significant milestones, including reaching the quarterfinals of all major tournaments and making it to the semifinals of the US Open in both two thousand six and two thousand ten.

One of Youzhny's most memorable performances came during the two thousand six US Open, where he faced world No. 9 Andy Roddick in the semifinals after a stunning upset against world No. 2 Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals. Although he won the first set against Roddick, he ultimately lost in straight sets to Nadal, who went on to become the tournament champion.
