Miljan Miljanić

Miljan Miljanić, born on May fourth, nineteen thirty, in Bitola, Vardar Banovina, was a prominent figure in the world of football, both as a player and a coach. His roots trace back to the Banjani clan in the Nikšić municipality of Montenegro, and he spent his formative years in what is now North Macedonia. Miljanić's career spanned several decades, during which he made significant contributions to the sport.

As a defender, Miljanić showcased his skills on the field before transitioning into coaching. He led prestigious clubs such as Red Star Belgrade, where he secured ten trophies, and Real Madrid, achieving back-to-back La Liga titles, including a League/Cup double in the nineteen seventy-four to seventy-five season. His coaching journey also included a brief stint at Valencia CF and a notable tenure with the Yugoslavia national team, where he guided the squad in the nineteen seventy-four and nineteen eighty-two World Cups.

Miljanić's influence extended beyond coaching; he served as the President of the Football Association of Yugoslavia from nineteen eighty-one to two thousand one.
