Milorad Mažić

Milorad Mažić, born on March 23, 1973, is a distinguished former Serbian international association football referee. His journey in officiating began in the Serbian football league system, where he honed his skills and gained recognition for his authoritative presence on the pitch.

In 2009, Mažić achieved the prestigious status of a FIFA referee, marking a significant milestone in his career. His expertise led him to officiate numerous high-stakes matches, including those in the UEFA Champions League, where he notably refereed the final in 2018, and the UEFA Europa League. His remarkable performance also earned him the honor of officiating the 2016 UEFA Super Cup.

Mažić's international experience is extensive, having refereed at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro 2016, and the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, including the final match of the tournament. His selection as a referee for the 2018 FIFA World Cup further solidified his reputation as one of the top referees in the world.

In recognition of his contributions to the sport, he was awarded a Silver Medal for Merits of the Republic of Serbia and was named the best Serbian referee for nine consecutive years, a testament to his dedication and excellence in officiating.
