Renowned for his quickness, versatility, and physical strength, Vučinić was celebrated for his creativity, technical skills, and intelligence on the pitch, complemented by his powerful striking ability from distance.
His professional journey began in the summer of 2000 when he caught the eye of Pantaleo Corvino, the sporting director of the Italian club Lecce. Vučinić played a pivotal role in Lecce's fluctuating fortunes between Serie A and B, with his standout season being 2004–05, where he netted nineteen goals in twenty-eight appearances in Serie A.
In 2006, Vučinić made a significant move to AS Roma, where he enjoyed considerable success, winning the Coppa Italia twice. In July 2014, he transitioned to Al Jazira for an undisclosed fee, marking the next chapter in his illustrious career.
On the international stage, Vučinić initially represented the Serbia and Montenegro under-21 team. However, due to injury, he missed the opportunity to compete in the FIFA World Cup in 2006.
