Miroslav Mentel, born on December second, nineteen sixty-two, in Šurany, Slovakia, is a distinguished former footballer and current goalkeeping coach. His career as a player saw him take on the role of goalkeeper for several clubs, including FK Inter Bratislava, Dukla Banská Bystrica, and DAC Dunajská Streda, all of which competed in the Czechoslovak First League.
Following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, Mentel continued his football journey in the Gambrinus liga, where he played for FC Kaučuk Opava for a season. His experience on the field has greatly informed his coaching career, allowing him to impart valuable knowledge to aspiring goalkeepers.
In his coaching capacity, Mentel has made significant contributions to the Slovakia national football team as a goalkeeping coach. Additionally, he has taken on the role of coach at FK Inter Bratislava, further solidifying his commitment to developing football talent in Slovakia.
