Mirza Džomba

Mirza Džomba, born on February twenty-eighth, nineteen seventy-seven, is a celebrated Croatian former professional handball player. Renowned for his exceptional skills as a right wing, he is often regarded as one of the best in the sport's history. Džomba's illustrious career includes being a World Champion in two thousand three and an Olympic Champion in two thousand four, marking him as a key figure in Croatia's golden generation of handball.

Throughout his career, Džomba showcased his talent with several clubs, including RK Zamet, Badel 1862 Zagreb, Fotex Veszprém, BM Ciudad Real, and Vive Targi Kielce, before retiring in two thousand eleven. His remarkable achievements with the Croatia national team from nineteen ninety-seven to two thousand eight include holding the record for the most goals scored, with a staggering seven hundred nineteen goals.

In addition to his national success, Džomba made a significant impact in the EHF Champions League, participating in six finals and securing a victory with Ciudad Real. His individual accolades are equally impressive, having been nominated three times for the IHF World Player of the Year award, where he achieved third place in two thousand four and two thousand five, and second place in two thousand six.
