Moe Koffman

Moe Koffman, born on December twenty-eighth, nineteen twenty-eight, was a distinguished Canadian jazz musician whose talents spanned several instruments, including the saxophone and flute. In nineteen fifty-seven, Koffman made a significant mark in the jazz world with his album 'Cool and Hot Sax,' released on the New York-based Jubilee label. This achievement made him one of the first Canadian jazz artists to produce a full-length album, paving the way for future generations of musicians.

Throughout his extensive career, Koffman was not only a celebrated performer but also a talented composer and arranger. He was a long-time member of Rob McConnell's Boss Brass, contributing to the rich tapestry of Canadian jazz.
