Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Mohamed Waheed Hassan

Mohamed Waheed Hassan, born on January third, nineteen fifty-three, is a prominent Maldivian politician who made significant contributions to the political landscape of the Maldives. He served as the fifth president of the Maldives from February seventh, two thousand twelve, until November seventeenth, two thousand thirteen. Prior to his presidency, he held the position of vice president from two thousand eight to two thousand twelve, stepping into the presidential role following the resignation of President Mohamed Nasheed.

In the presidential elections of two thousand thirteen, Waheed sought to secure a full term but garnered only about five percent of the vote in the first round. Despite the challenges posed by court-ordered reruns and delays, he remained in office until the inauguration of Abdulla Yameen on November seventeenth, two thousand thirteen.

In May two thousand twenty-five, Waheed was appointed as the Special Envoy of the President by Mohamed Muizzu. However, his tenure was cut short when he resigned in February two thousand twenty-six due to his connections with Jeffrey Epstein, a situation that drew significant public attention.
