Mohammad Ali Jafari

Mohammad Ali Jafari, born on September first, nineteen fifty-seven, is a notable figure in Iran's military and political landscape. He served as the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from two thousand seven until two thousand nineteen, a tenure marked by significant developments within the organization.

Appointed by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the same day he took office, Jafari succeeded Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi.
