Mohammad-Ali Rajai

Mohammad-Ali Rajai, born on June fifteenth, nineteen thirty-three, was a prominent Iranian politician and educator. He rose to national prominence during a tumultuous period in Iran's history, ultimately serving as the second president of the country from August second, nineteen eighty-one until his tragic assassination just four weeks later.

Before assuming the presidency, Rajai held the position of prime minister under Abolhassan Banisadr. His political career was marked by a commitment to public service, which included a brief tenure as the foreign affairs minister from March eleventh to August fifteenth, nineteen eighty-one.
