Mónica Spear, born on October first, nineteen eighty-four, was a prominent Venezuelan actress, model, and beauty pageant titleholder. She gained national recognition after winning the Miss Venezuela pageant in two thousand four, which paved the way for her to represent her country at the Miss Universe competition in two thousand five held in Bangkok, Thailand, where she impressively finished as the fourth runner-up.

Following her success in pageantry, Mónica transitioned into acting, becoming a beloved figure in Venezuelan telenovelas and later making her mark in the United States. Her talent and charisma captivated audiences, establishing her as a successful actress in the entertainment industry.

Tragically, Mónica Spear's life was cut short on January sixth, two thousand fourteen, when she was murdered alongside her ex-husband, Thomas Berry, during a highway robbery while they were vacationing in Venezuela. Their five-year-old daughter survived the horrific incident, which sparked widespread anti-government protests in Venezuela, highlighting the escalating crime rates in the country.
