Monika Pyrek

Monika Pyrek, born on August 11, 1980, in Gdynia, is a distinguished retired Polish pole vaulter known for her remarkable achievements in athletics. Competing at the 2004 Olympics, she showcased her talent by finishing fourth with a height of 4.55 metres, narrowly missing out on a medal against fellow Gdynia native, Anna Rogowska.

Her athletic prowess was further highlighted when she secured a silver medal at the 2005 World Championships in Athletics, clearing a height of 4.60 metres. Pyrek continued to excel, adding another silver medal to her collection at the 2006 European Athletics Championships, solidifying her status as one of Poland's top athletes.
