Monique Hennagan

Monique Hennagan, born on May twenty-six, nineteen seventy-six, is a distinguished American sprinter renowned for her prowess in the 400 metres. Her athletic journey began to flourish during her collegiate years at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated with a double major in Psychology and African American Studies. Hennagan's remarkable achievements include winning gold in the 4 × 400 metre relay and silver in the 400 m at the World Juniors in nineteen ninety-four, alongside being an All-American athlete.

Throughout her career, Monique has garnered numerous accolades, including being a two-time NCAA Track and Field Champion in both the indoor 400 m and outdoor 800 m in nineteen ninety-six. She dominated the Atlantic Coast Conference, securing eight individual championships and winning the 400 m title for four consecutive years. Her professional career spanned from nineteen ninety-eight to two thousand nine, during which she traveled globally, competing at the highest levels.

Hennagan's impressive medal collection includes a silver medal in the women's 4 × 400 metre relay at the nineteen ninety-eight Goodwill Games and a gold medal in the same event at the two thousand one Goodwill Games. She also achieved significant success at the Olympics, winning gold in the women's 4 × 400 metre relay in both the two thousand and two thousand four games, and finishing fourth in the 400 m at the two thousand four Olympic Trials.
