Moriteru Ueshiba

Moriteru Ueshiba, born on April second, nineteen fifty-one, is a distinguished Japanese teacher of aikido, carrying forward a rich legacy in martial arts. As the grandson of Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of aikido, and the son of Kisshomaru Ueshiba, he embodies the essence of this revered discipline.

Currently serving as the third and present Dōshu, Moriteru has dedicated his life to the practice and teaching of aikido. His expertise is not limited to martial arts; he is also an accomplished engineer and economist, showcasing a diverse skill set that complements his martial arts philosophy.
