Morrissey

Morrissey, born on May 22, 1959, in Old Trafford, Lancashire, England, is a renowned English composer, singer, poet, and autobiographer. He rose to fame as the frontman and lyricist of the iconic rock band the Smiths, which captivated audiences from 1982 to 1987. Known for his baritone voice and distinctive lyrics, Morrissey's music often explores themes of emotional isolation, sexual longing, and dark humor, all while maintaining an anti-establishment stance.

Growing up in a working-class family of Irish immigrants, Morrissey was influenced by his surroundings in Hulme and Stretford. In the late 1970s, he briefly fronted the punk rock band the Nosebleeds before transitioning into music journalism and writing.
