Movlud Miraliyev

Movlud Miraliyev, born on February twenty-seventh, nineteen seventy-four, is a distinguished retired judoka hailing from Azerbaijan, with roots in the Turkish Meskhetian community. His journey in judo has been marked by remarkable achievements and fierce competition.

At the 2004 Summer Olympics, Miraliyev showcased his skills in the half-heavyweight division, competing fiercely to finish in joint fifth place. His journey to this point included a notable victory over the legendary Olympic Champion and three-time World Champion Kosei Inoue, which highlighted his exceptional talent and determination.

Four years later, at the 2008 Summer Olympics, Miraliyev continued to impress the judo world by clinching a Bronze Medal after a hard-fought match against Przemysław Matyjaszek of Poland. This achievement further solidified his status as one of the prominent figures in the sport.
