Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Muhammad bin Nayef

Muhammad bin Nayef Al Saud, born on August 30, 1959, is a prominent figure in Saudi Arabian politics, having held significant positions within the royal family and government. He served as the crown prince and first deputy prime minister from 2015 until 2017, and prior to that, he was the minister of interior from 2012 to 2017. His lineage is notable; he is a grandson of King Abdulaziz, the founder of modern Saudi Arabia, and the son of the former crown prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz.

His appointment as crown prince on April 29, 2015, by his uncle King Salman marked a historic moment, as he and his father became the first father-son duo in Saudi history to hold the title of crown prince. However, this tenure was relatively short-lived, as on June 21, 2017, King Salman appointed his own son, Mohammed bin Salman, as the new crown prince, leading to Muhammad bin Nayef's removal from all positions.

Since March 6, 2020, Muhammad bin Nayef has been in detention, alongside his uncle Ahmed and half-brother Nawwaf. This situation has drawn attention to the internal dynamics of the Saudi royal family and the shifting power structures within the kingdom.
