Muni Long

Priscilla Renea Hamilton, known to the world as Muni Long, was born on September 14, 1988, in Gifford, Florida. She began her career under her birth name, signing with Capitol Records to release her debut studio album, Jukebox, in 2009. Although the album received positive critical acclaim, it did not achieve significant commercial success. This setback did not deter her; instead, she spent the next decade honing her craft as a songwriter, contributing to numerous hits for other artists.

Throughout her songwriting career, Muni Long penned chart-topping singles such as "Promise This" by Cheryl, "California King Bed" by Rihanna, and "Worth It" by Fifth Harmony. Her talent also shone through in tracks like "Love So Soft" by Kelly Clarkson and the global smash hit "Timber" by Pitbull. These collaborations solidified her reputation in the music industry as a skilled songwriter.

In 2018, Muni Long made a triumphant return to her recording career with the self-release of her second studio album, Coloured. The following year, she adopted the stage name Muni Long and experienced a significant breakthrough with her single "Hrs and Hrs" in 2021. This sleeper hit not only peaked within the top twenty of the Billboard Hot 100 but also earned her a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance and led to her signing with Def Jam Recordings.

Her third album, Public Displays of Affection: The Album, released in 2022, further showcased her artistry and entered the Billboard 200. In 2023, she released the single "Made for Me," which also achieved top twenty status on the Billboard Hot 100, setting the stage for her upcoming fourth album, Revenge, slated for release in 2024. This album has already garnered a nomination for Best R&B Album at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, adding to her impressive list of accolades, which includes three other Grammy nominations.
