Muqrin bin Abdulaziz

Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, born on September fifteenth, nineteen forty-five, is a prominent Saudi Arabian politician and former military aviator. He is recognized as the thirty-fifth son of King Abdulaziz, born to the Yemeni concubine Baraka. Following the death of his half-brother Hamoud in nineteen ninety-four, Muqrin became the youngest surviving son of the king, a position that has shaped his role within the royal family.

His career in public service began with his appointment as the director general of Al Mukhabarat Al A'amah, where he served from two thousand five to two thousand twelve. In July two thousand twelve, he transitioned to a role as an advisor and special envoy to King Abdullah, holding the rank of minister. This position allowed him to influence key decisions during a pivotal time in Saudi Arabia's governance.

On March twenty-seventh, two thousand fourteen, Muqrin was named deputy crown prince, placing him second in the line of succession behind his half-brother Salman. Following the death of King Abdullah on January twenty-third, two thousand fifteen, Muqrin ascended to the position of crown prince and first deputy prime minister. However, his tenure was short-lived, as he was dismissed by King Salman on April twenty-ninth, two thousand fifteen, in favor of his nephew Muhammad bin Nayef.
