Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Mutya Buena

Mutya Buena, born on May twenty-first, nineteen eighty-five, is a celebrated British singer and songwriter who first gained prominence as a member of the iconic girl group Sugababes. During her time with the group, she contributed to four UK number-one singles, six additional top-ten hits, and three multi-platinum albums, solidifying her status in the music industry.

In December two thousand five, Buena embarked on a solo career, releasing her debut album, Real Girl, in June two thousand seven under Island Records. The album was a commercial success, featuring three top-twenty hits on the UK Singles Chart, including the title track, which reached number two, and collaborations with Groove Armada and George Michael that also charted well. Real Girl entered the top ten on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry.

After the less successful release of her final singles, Buena parted ways with Island Records in two thousand eight and began collaborating with various independent artists. In two thousand eleven, she reunited with former Sugababes bandmates Siobhán Donaghy and Keisha Buchanan, forming the trio MKS. Their first single, "Flatline," was released in two thousand thirteen, achieving moderate success before the group entered an indefinite hiatus.

In September two thousand nineteen, the trio confirmed their return as Sugababes, regaining the rights to the name. Buena was featured on the DJ Spoony track "Flowers" that same year. The group faced another hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic in two thousand twenty but made a comeback in two thousand twenty-two. In February two thousand twenty, she collaborated with Electric Pineapple on the track "Black Valentine," followed by a UK garage-inspired track with Ryuken in May twenty twenty-one. In April twenty twenty-three, she was featured on the electro-house track "All I Own" by Dutch-Filipino DJ Laidback Luke.

Mutya Buena has been widely recognized as one of the best British voices of her generation, with The Guardian ranking her second on their list of the best girl-band members of all time in two thousand nineteen.
