Muzio Attendolo Sforza

Muzio Attendolo Sforza, born on May twenty-eighth, thirteen sixty-nine, was a prominent Italian condottiero whose legacy would shape the political landscape of Renaissance Italy. As the founder of the illustrious Sforza dynasty, he played a pivotal role in military affairs, most notably leading a Bolognese-Florentine army at the significant Battle of Casalecchio.

In the latter part of his career, Sforza's talents were recognized by Queen Joanna II of Naples, who appointed him as the Grand Constable of Naples. During a tumultuous period marked by political instability, he commanded her forces, demonstrating his strategic prowess and leadership capabilities.

His influence extended beyond his military achievements; he was the father of Francesco Sforza, who would go on to establish the Sforza dynasty that ruled the Duchy of Milan for generations.
