Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Mykola Azarov

Mykola Azarov, born on December seventeenth, nineteen forty-seven, is a prominent Russo-Ukrainian politician and economist. He served as the Prime Minister of Ukraine from March eleventh, two thousand ten, until January twenty-seventh, two thousand fourteen. His political career also includes significant roles as the First Vice Prime Minister and Finance Minister from two thousand two to two thousand five, and again from two thousand six to two thousand seven.

Following Viktor Yanukovych's victory in the two thousand ten presidential election, Azarov took over as the leader of the Party of Regions and was appointed Prime Minister. His tenure was marked by political unrest, culminating in the Euromaidan protests and the Hrushevskoho Street riots in early two thousand fourteen. In response to the escalating situation, Azarov submitted his resignation.

After the Revolution of Dignity, Azarov fled to Russia, where he claimed to have been offered political refugee status under the personal instructions of Vladimir Putin. He has since resided near the Russian village of Petrovo-Dalneye, close to Moscow. In July two thousand fourteen, he was placed on the international wanted list for alleged abuse of power, and an arrest warrant was issued by the Kyiv District Court in January two thousand fifteen.

Azarov's actions during his time in office have led to international sanctions imposed by the United States, the European Union, Norway, Canada, and Switzerland. In two thousand fifteen, he established the Ukraine Salvation Committee, a government in exile that has been perceived as a pro-Russian entity.
