Mysterious Billy Smith, born on May 15, 1871, in Canada, carved his name into the annals of boxing history as a two-time world welterweight champion. His first title came at the young age of twenty-one in 1892, followed by a second championship win in 1898 when he was twenty-seven. Smith's prowess in the ring earned him international fame, but his legacy is also marred by his notorious connections to criminal activities in Portland, Oregon, during the early 1900s.

Known for his unorthodox fighting style, Smith gained a reputation that led to him being dubbed the 'Dirtiest Fighter of All Time.'
