Nacho Novo, born on March 26, 1979, is a distinguished Spanish former professional footballer who made his mark as a forward. His career in football has transitioned from player to coach, and he currently serves as the manager of Darvel, a club competing in the Scottish seventh tier.

His journey in professional football began with a transfer from Huesca to Raith Rovers in Scotland in 2001, followed by a move to Dundee a year later. Novo's significant breakthrough came in July 2004 when he joined Rangers for four hundred fifty thousand pounds. In his inaugural season with the club, he showcased his scoring prowess by netting twenty-five goals, contributing to a league and League Cup double.

After a four-year wait, Novo celebrated another league championship in the 2008–09 season, where he etched his name in history by scoring the decisive goal in the 2009 Scottish Cup Final, securing his second double with Rangers. Following his successful tenure at the Ibrox club, he embarked on a journey that took him to various clubs across Spain, Poland, Scotland, England, the United States, and Northern Ireland.

In addition to his playing career, Novo has also made strides in coaching. He served as an assistant coach and briefly as the interim head coach for the final five matches of the 2023 season at Lexington SC, a USL League One side, and has been the head coach for the club's U23 team.
