Nagasena

Nāgasena, a revered Sarvāstivādan Buddhist sage, emerged in the historical landscape of northwestern India around one hundred fifty BC. His profound insights into Buddhism were sought by Menander I, the Greek king, whose inquiries are immortalized in the texts known as the Milindapañhā and the Nāgasenabhiksusūtra.

Born into a Brahmin family nestled in the majestic Himalayas, Nāgasena exhibited an early mastery of the Vedas, showcasing his intellectual prowess from a young age.
