Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Nahum Rabinovitch

Nachum Eliezer Rabinovitch, born Norman Louis Rabinovitch on January first, nineteen twenty-eight, was a prominent Canadian-Israeli rabbi and a significant figure in the Religious Zionist movement. His journey in Jewish education and leadership began in Canada, where he laid the groundwork for a life dedicated to religious scholarship and community service.

In nineteen seventy-one, Rabinovitch took the helm of the London School of Jewish Studies, a position he held until nineteen eighty-two. His tenure there was marked by a commitment to fostering Jewish learning and engagement, influencing countless students and community members.

Following his impactful years in London, he moved to Israel, where he became the head of the hesder yeshiva Birkat Moshe in Ma'ale Adumim. This role allowed him to blend rigorous religious study with military service, a hallmark of the hesder yeshiva system, and he continued to lead this institution until his passing on May sixth, two thousand twenty.
