Nam Hyun-hee, born on September 29, 1981, is a distinguished South Korean foil fencer known for her exceptional skills and left-handed technique. She gained international recognition when she clinched the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics, narrowly losing to Valentina Vezzali in a thrilling final that ended with a score of 6-5.
Her Olympic journey continued as she contributed to the South Korean fencing team, securing a bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Alongside her teammates Jeon Hee-Sok, Jung Gil-Ok, and Oh Ha-Na, Nam showcased her prowess in the sport, defeating France in the bronze medal match.
