Known by various monikers such as the Giggling Granny, the Lonely Hearts Killer, the Black Widow, and Lady Blue Beard, Doss's life was marked by a series of tragic and sinister events.

Her confessions in October nineteen fifty-four revealed a dark history of murder that spanned decades. Doss was responsible for the deaths of four husbands, two children, one sister, her mother, two grandsons, and a mother-in-law.
