Napoléon Charbonneau

Napoléon Charbonneau, born on February twelfth, eighteen fifty-three in Côte-des-Neiges, Canada East, was a prominent figure in the legal and political landscape of Canada. He was the son of Augustin Charbonneau and Julienne Dufort, and his journey into law began with his studies in the office of Trudel and Taillon.

After being admitted to the bar in January eighteen seventy-nine, Charbonneau established a successful practice in civil and commercial law in Montreal. He formed a partnership with Hormisdas Pelletier, which further solidified his reputation in the legal community.

Charbonneau's political career began when he ran as the Liberal candidate for the House of Commons of Canada in the eighteen eighty-seven election for the riding of Jacques Cartier, although he faced defeat. His persistence paid off when he was elected in a by-election in eighteen ninety-five, serving for approximately seven months before opting not to run in the subsequent election of eighteen ninety-six.

In two thousand and three, Charbonneau's contributions to the legal field were recognized when he was appointed as a Puisne Judge of the Superior Court of the Province of Quebec, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career.
