Naram-Sin of Akkad

Naram-Sin, also known as Narām-Sîn or Naram-Suen, was a prominent ruler of the Akkadian Empire, reigning from approximately two thousand two hundred fifty-five to two thousand two hundred eighteen BC. He was the grandson of the illustrious King Sargon of Akkad and the third successor in a line that would shape the course of Mesopotamian history. Under his leadership, the Akkadian kingdom reached its zenith, expanding its territories significantly.

One of Naram-Sin's most notable achievements was his bold claim to divinity, a groundbreaking move in the ancient world. He declared himself the
