Narimantas, also known by the names Narymunt or Narimunt, was a prominent figure in Lithuanian history, born in the year one thousand two hundred ninety-four. He was the second eldest son of Gediminas, the grand duke of Lithuania, and played a significant role in the political landscape of his time.

Throughout his life, Narimantas held authority over various regions, notably ruling Pinsk and Polotsk. His leadership was marked by a commitment to governance and protection of his territories, showcasing his capabilities as a ruler.

In the year one thousand three hundred thirty-three, Narimantas was recognized by the nobles of Novgorod, who accepted him to oversee and safeguard northern territories, including Ladoga, Oreshek, and Korela. This appointment marked him as the first of several Lithuanian service princes in Novgorod, highlighting his influence and the trust placed in him by the local nobility.

Narimantas's legacy is intertwined with the expansion and consolidation of Lithuanian power during a pivotal era, and he continued to be a significant figure until his death on the second of February in the year one thousand three hundred forty-eight.
