Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, known to the world as Nate Dogg, was born on August 19, 1969, and became a prominent figure in the American music scene. Renowned for his soulful voice, he earned the title 'King of Hooks' for his ability to craft memorable choruses that elevated numerous hip-hop tracks. His career took off in 1990 when he joined the hip-hop trio 213 alongside his cousin Snoop Dogg and friend Warren G, marking the beginning of a legacy that would influence the genre for years to come.

Throughout the 1990s, Nate Dogg collaborated with some of the biggest names in hip-hop, including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Xzibit. His deep, resonant vocals became a staple in the industry, making him a sought-after artist for hooks. In the 2000s, he expanded his collaborations to include artists like Eminem, 50 Cent, Fabolous, Mos Def, and Ludacris, further solidifying his status in the music world.

Nate Dogg's contributions to music are highlighted by his performances on eighteen songs that charted on the Billboard Hot 100, with sixteen as a featured artist and two as a primary artist. Notable tracks include '21 Questions' by 50 Cent, which reached number one, 'Regulate,' which peaked at number two, and 'Shake That,' which climbed to number six. His work on 'Regulate' even earned a nomination for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group at the thirty-seventh Annual Grammy Awards.

Despite his professional success, Nate Dogg faced personal struggles, particularly with alcoholism. His health deteriorated over the years, and on March 15, 2011, he passed away at the age of forty-one due to congestive heart failure after suffering two strokes.
