Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Nathan Deal

Nathan Deal, born on August twenty-fifth, nineteen forty-two, is a prominent American politician and former lawyer who made significant contributions to the state of Georgia. He served as the eighty-second governor of Georgia from two thousand eleven to two thousand nineteen, representing the Republican Party. Prior to his governorship, Deal was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and held a notable position in the Georgia State Senate from nineteen eighty-one to nineteen ninety-three, where he concluded his tenure as president pro tempore.

In two thousand ten, Deal entered the gubernatorial race, navigating a competitive Republican primary that culminated in a narrow victory over former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel, winning by fewer than two thousand five hundred votes. He then triumphed in the general election against Democratic candidate and former governor Roy Barnes, taking office in January two thousand eleven after succeeding term-limited Sonny Perdue. Deal successfully secured re-election in two thousand fourteen, defeating Democrat Jason Carter.

During his time in office, Deal gained national attention in two thousand fourteen for signing the Safe Carry Protection Act, often referred to by critics as the 'Guns Everywhere Law.' This legislation permitted permit holders to carry concealed weapons in various public spaces, including churches, school zones, government buildings, and certain areas of airports. His governorship came to an end in two thousand eighteen due to term limits, and he was succeeded by Brian Kemp, the outgoing Secretary of State.
