Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Nathan Law

Nathan Law, born on July 13, 1993, is a prominent Hong Kong activist and politician known for his significant role in the pro-democracy movement. As a student leader, he held various influential positions, including chairman of the Representative Council of the Lingnan University Students' Union and secretary-general of the Hong Kong Federation of Students. His activism reached a pivotal moment during the 79-day Umbrella Movement in 2014, where he emerged as one of the key student leaders advocating for democratic reforms.

In a historic achievement, Law was elected as a legislator for Hong Kong Island on September 4, 2016, at the young age of twenty-three, making him the youngest lawmaker in the history of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. However, his tenure was marred by controversy, particularly surrounding his oath-taking, which led to a challenge from the Hong Kong Government and ultimately resulted in his disqualification from the Legislative Council on July 14, 2017.

Following the implementation of the National Security Law on July 1, 2020, Law sought refuge in London, marking the beginning of his self-imposed exile. In April 2021, he was granted political asylum, as the Hong Kong police issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of inciting secession and collusion, offering a bounty of one million Hong Kong dollars for information leading to his capture.

In addition to his political endeavors, Law has been recognized for his contributions to political discourse. In March 2021, he was appointed a Pritzker Fellow at the University of Chicago's Institute of Politics. His achievements were further acknowledged in May 2022 when he received an honorary doctorate from Washington & Jefferson College, where he also served as the keynote speaker at the commencement ceremony.

As of July 2023, the Hong Kong police intensified their pursuit of Nathan Law, including a bounty of one million Hong Kong dollars for his apprehension, alongside other prominent democracy activists living abroad.
