Nathan Lieuwen

Nathan Lieuwen, born on August eighth, nineteen ninety-one, is a former professional ice hockey goaltender from Canada. He made his mark in the sport when he was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres during the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, selected in the sixth round as the one hundred sixty-seventh overall pick. Although he had a brief stint with the Sabres, much of his career unfolded in the minor leagues, where he played for teams such as the Rochester Americans and the San Antonio Rampage in the American Hockey League.

Lieuwen's promising career faced significant challenges due to multiple concussions, which ultimately led to his early retirement from professional play. Despite these setbacks, his passion for hockey remained strong, guiding him toward a new role within the sport.

In a remarkable transition from player to executive, Nathan Lieuwen became the majority owner and president of the Cranbrook Bucks, a junior A team in the British Columbia Hockey League. The team was announced to begin play in the twenty twenty to twenty twenty-one BCHL season, marking a new chapter in Lieuwen's hockey journey.
