Navin Ramgoolam

Navin Ramgoolam, born on July fourteenth, nineteen forty-seven, is a prominent Mauritian politician who has made significant contributions to the political landscape of Mauritius. He is currently serving as the Prime Minister, a position he has held since two thousand twenty-four. His political journey has seen him in this role previously from nineteen ninety-five to two thousand and from two thousand five to two thousand fourteen, along with periods as the leader of the opposition.

As the son of the esteemed former Prime Minister and Governor-General Seewoosagur Ramgoolam, Navin has been a key figure in the Labour Party since nineteen ninety-one. His leadership was tested following a notable defeat in the two thousand General Elections, but he made a remarkable comeback when his coalition, Alliance Sociale, triumphed in the two thousand five elections.

The recent general election in two thousand twenty-four marked a significant milestone in his career, as his coalition, Alliance du Changement, achieved a landslide victory.
