Neal Schon, born on February twenty-seventh, nineteen fifty-four, is a celebrated American guitarist, jazz musician, and songwriter. He is best known as the co-founder and lead guitarist of the iconic rock band Journey, where he has remained the last original member throughout the group's extensive history.
Before Journey, Schon made his mark as a member of the renowned rock band Santana, showcasing his exceptional talent and passion for music. His career continued to flourish as he joined the group Bad English during Journey's hiatus from nineteen eighty-seven to nineteen ninety-five, and he was also an original member of Hardline.
Recognized for his contributions to the music industry, Schon was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in two thousand thirteen. His legacy was further solidified when he was honored with an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Journey in two thousand seventeen.
