Neil Finn

Neil Finn, born on May twenty-seventh, nineteen fifty-eight, is a celebrated New Zealand singer-songwriter and musician, renowned for his significant contributions to popular music. He first gained prominence as a principal member of the iconic band Split Enz, where he played a pivotal role in steering the group from its art rock roots towards a more accessible new wave pop sound.

Joining Split Enz in nineteen seventy-seven, Finn quickly became a creative force within the band, penning many of their most memorable hits throughout the eighties, including classics like 'I Got You', 'One Step Ahead', 'History Never Repeats', and 'Message to My Girl'. Following the band's dissolution in nineteen eighty-four, he co-founded Crowded House with drummer Paul Hester, serving as the lead singer and principal songwriter. The band achieved international acclaim with the release of 'Don't Dream It's Over' in nineteen eighty-seven, a song that remains a defining moment in Finn's career.

After Crowded House disbanded in nineteen ninety-six, Finn collaborated with his brother on two albums as the Finn Brothers before reuniting Crowded House in two thousand six. His musical journey continued as he joined Fleetwood Mac in April two thousand eighteen, remaining with the band until their disbandment in two thousand twenty-two. In addition to his work with these bands, Finn has released several successful solo albums, organized the diverse musical project 7 Worlds Collide, and contributed to various film and television soundtracks.
