His accolades include winning the World Championship in 2010, the Masters in 2012 and 2022, and the UK Championship in 2013, 2015, and 2020.
Robertson's journey in professional snooker began in the 1998–99 season, although he initially faced challenges that led him to drop off the tour. He made a triumphant return in the 2003–04 season, where he quickly gained recognition by becoming the first Australian to win a ranking event, clinching the 2006 Grand Prix. His career reached new heights in 2009 when he reached the semi-finals of the World Championships for the first time, followed by his first world title victory the next year against Graeme Dott.

Even into his forties, Robertson continues to dominate the snooker scene, with his latest ranking event victory at the 2025 Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters. He is one of only four players to have achieved over one thousand career century breaks in professional competition, including five maximum breaks. Notably, during the 2013–14 season, he became the first player to make one hundred centuries in a single season, finishing with a then-record one hundred and three centuries.
