Nesta Carter, born on October 11, 1985, is a retired Jamaican sprinter renowned for his exceptional talent in the 100 metres event. His career is marked by remarkable achievements, particularly as a key member of the Jamaican 4 × 100 metres relay team. Carter's prowess was on full display at the 2011 World Championships and the 2012 London Olympics, where he not only clinched gold but also contributed to setting successive world records.

In addition to his relay success, Carter showcased his individual capabilities by securing a bronze medal in the 100 m at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow, finishing behind the legendary Usain Bolt and Justin Gatlin. His accolades also include a silver medal from the 2007 World Championships and another gold at the 2015 World Championships, further solidifying his status in the athletics world.

In August 2010, Carter made headlines by becoming only the fifth sprinter to complete the 100 metres in less than nine point eight seconds.
