Netti Witziers-Timmer

Netti Witziers-Timmer, born on July twenty-second, nineteen twenty-three, was a distinguished Dutch sprinter who made her mark in the world of athletics. Her career took off in the mid-1940s when she became a vital member of the Dutch relay teams that set world records in the four by one hundred ten yard and four by two hundred meter relays in nineteen forty-four.

Two years later, her talent shone brightly as she clinched a European title, showcasing her exceptional speed and skill on the track. However, it was in nineteen forty-eight that she achieved her most notable success, winning an Olympic gold medal in the four by one hundred meter relay. This remarkable victory was shared with her teammates Xenia Stad-de Jong, Gerda van der Kade-Koudijs, and the legendary Fanny Blankers-Koen.
