She has made a significant impact in both film and television, emerging as a prominent figure in the horror genre during the late 1990s. Campbell's journey began with minor roles, but she quickly gained recognition for her performances in the drama series Catwalk from nineteen ninety-two to nineteen ninety-three and the television film The Canterville Ghost in nineteen ninety-six.

Her breakthrough came when she relocated to the United States and starred as Julia Salinger in the Fox teen drama series Party of Five, which aired from nineteen ninety-four to two thousand.
