Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Nick Drake

Nick Drake, born on June nineteenth, nineteen forty-eight, was an English singer-songwriter renowned for his exceptional acoustic guitar skills. He signed with Island Records at the tender age of twenty while pursuing his studies at the University of Cambridge. His musical journey began with the release of his debut album, Five Leaves Left, in nineteen sixty-nine, followed by two more critically acclaimed albums, Bryter Layter in nineteen seventy-one and Pink Moon in nineteen seventy-two.

Despite his immense talent, Drake struggled to connect with a broad audience during his lifetime. His battle with depression and reluctance to perform live hindered his career. After completing Pink Moon, he withdrew from both the music scene and public performances, retreating to his parents' home in rural Warwickshire.

Tragically, on November twenty-fifth, nineteen seventy-four, at the young age of twenty-six, Nick Drake passed away from an overdose of antidepressants. His music continued to circulate through the mid-seventies, but it was the release of the retrospective collection Fruit Tree in nineteen seventy-nine that allowed for a reevaluation of his work and legacy.

In the years following his death, Drake's influence grew, inspiring countless artists across various genres. The first biography of his life in English was published in nineteen ninety-seven, paving the way for further exploration of his story through documentary films such as A Stranger Among Us in nineteen ninety-nine and A Skin Too Few: The Days of Nick Drake in two thousand.
